Alloy Cast Steel Roll

Alloy cast steel roll is a type of cast steel roll with composition in the hypoeutectoid and eutectoid steel range, with an alloy content greater than 0.8%. Its carbon content is generally between 0.4% and 1.3%, and it contains alloying elements such as chromium, nickel, molybdenum, and vanadium.

Material Characteristics

Through normalizing + tempering heat treatment, its matrix structure is generally controlled as sorbite and tempered sorbite. It features high strength, good toughness, strong impact resistance, as well as excellent thermal crack resistance, wear resistance and bite performance.

Application Scope

Suitable for work rolls in roughing and intermediate stands of section steel mills, roughing stands of hot strip steel mills, and roughing rolls of bar and wire rod mills.
