Cold Rolling Mill Rolls
The Cr5 series is a super-deep hardened layer cold rolling roll material with a chromium (Cr) content of approximately 5%. The depth of its hardened layer can reach over 45mm. Through scientific matching of chemical components and optimized production processes, it exhibits excellent technical properties compared to traditional Cr2 material and deep-hardened Cr3 material, making it the preferred material for modern cold continuous rolling mills.

Material Characteristics
High chromium content transforms the carbide type from M₃C (in Cr2 and Cr3 materials) to M₇C₃, significantly improving the roll's wear resistance;
Carbides are finer and more uniformly dispersed, with an ultra-deep hardened layer and enhanced accident resistance;
Ensures the roll can be used all the way to its scrap diameter without the need for re-hardening.
Application Scope
Suitable for work rolls, intermediate rolls, backup rolls and leveling rolls of various specifications of cold rolling mills, as well as rolls for foil rolling mills and non-ferrous metal rolling mills (such as copper and aluminum).
