Cold Rolling Mill Rolls
Cr3 series material is developed on the basis of the traditional Cr2 cold rolling roll material, with the chromium (Cr) content increased to approximately 3%. The increase in alloying elements improves the hardenability of the roll, allowing the depth of the hardened layer to reach over 25mm, with a maximum depth of 30mm. The Cr3 series is a cold rolling roll material that has been widely promoted and applied in recent years.

Material Characteristics
Higher alloy content, with wear resistance improved by approximately 30% compared to the Cr2 series;
Deep hardened layer, so the roll generally does not require re-hardening;
Deep spalling is prone to occur in the event of rolling accidents.
Application Scope
Suitable for work rolls, intermediate rolls, backup rolls of various specifications of cold rolling mills, rolls for foil rolling mills, and rolls for non-ferrous metal rolling mills such as copper and aluminum.
